Kaguria Secondary school has been awarded Shs 1.3 m by the Ndhiwa Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to put up an administration block and a classroom.
The cheque was presented to the school Principal William Amoo by Ndhiwa MP Hon Neto Oyugi on June 3, 2016 at a brief ceremony at the school attended by Members of the Board of Management(BOM) and local stakeholders.
The funds will be a boost to the young school which is struggling with lack of basic facilities. It has three classroom but no kitchen, laboratory, teachers houses among other critical facilities. The school, now in form three was officially registered by the Ministry of Education in 2015.
This is the second award of CDF funds to the school under Hon Neto's leadership. In 2014, the school received a cheque of Shs. 500,000 towards the construction of a classroom.
